Every kid is recognised and treated as an individual at BarBar, which is a joyful, secure, and safe environment. The focus is on educating and preparing kids for life in school by fostering their self-assurance, effort, generosity, and sense of humour. We take great pleasure in providing individualised attention and flexibility at each of our nurseries, and we'll do everything we can to assist you. Carol has spent more than 35 years working with The Rosary. Shaun, Anne-Marie, and Katheryn, three of her own children, were all students there. For many years, Carol has worked as a fully licenced and registered childminder out of her Stroud home. Carol earned several credentials during this period, including her NVQ3 in Childcare and Education. Since 1989, Sandra has worked as a childcare provider in and around the Stroud area. She began this line of work while raising her three daughters. She also holds a number of childcare credentials, such as an Early Years Professional Status and a BA degree (EYP). Carol Barker and Sandra Barton, two friends who met in 1992 while running Girl Guide units in Stroud and childminding, founded BarBar. A few years later, when space at The Rosary School became available, the close friends were finally able to realise their shared dream of opening their own nursery. BarBar is derived from the last names of Carol and Sandra as well as the butterfly's wings in flight (as depicted in the logo), indicating a bond of friendship and the freedom to explore. This is continued in the environments for the kids.
