The goal of Hambleton Primary Academy is to give kids an all-around education in a cheerful, energising, and enjoyable environment.
The National Curriculum is not a requirement for us as an Academy; instead, we follow a comprehensive and balanced curriculum that is skills-based, demanding, and builds on past knowledge.
We look for curricular themes that will energise, stimulate, and encourage learning in students of all ages.
The evolution of reading and numeracy skills across the curriculum is considered as extremely important and these are cultivated at all times, even though we have identified our curricular drivers as diversity, collaboration and resilience, community, and environment.
Knowledge and skills are at the core of our curriculum, and we take pleasure in fostering a reading culture that permeates the whole school.
The emphasis of the primary years at Hambleton is on discovery, exploration, and adventure, and our Early Years and Forest School Provision offers children the perfect chances to engage in all three.
Our student council at Hambleton Primary Academy School works to provide a secure, joyful, and equitable learning environment.
We actively participate in planning school activities, such as those that collect funds for improvements to our own school as well as those that increase awareness of and donations to regional, international, and local charities.
As a school, we cherish our student council members because their opinions and voices are essential to making our school the inspirational, happy, and enthusiastic environment that it is. We provide students many opportunity to express their opinions in useful and successful ways.
We provide the kids the tools they need to be able to make decisions that affect our school through our Pupil Council sessions.
At Hambleton, we want students to succeed academically, but we also care deeply about their overall wellbeing, both while they are students here and after they leave.
We encourage a growth mindset, reiterating the idea that every student can advance and succeed in any subject, take lessons from failure, and rise to new challenges.
At Hambleton Primary Academy, we believe that a child's educational path must include inclusion, especially for those kids with SEND.
We employ a range of teaching techniques and materials to make sure every child can access the learning taking place in the classroom, and we make sure that learning is personalised to accommodate all learning preferences.
By establishing our Academy as a Computing Hub and educating our students on safe and responsible online behaviour, we also hope to position our Academy as a leader in digital literacy.
Pupil attainment is consistently and outstandingly high at the end of both Key Stages and children are tracked throughout their time at our school, to maximise potential and eliminate any under-achievement.
Since there is no replacement for outstanding education, care has been made to hire only the best personnel.
We are actively expanding our sizable grounds and outdoor area to give the kids complete access to Forest School.
Research endorses the fact that children and young people are stimulated by the outdoors and typically experience, over time, an increase in their self belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication and problem-solving skills and emotional well-being.
