Abbotsbrook has been my property since January 2006. I earned a BA Hon (level 6) in Early Years practise management from Bucks New University while working at Abbotsbrook, and I'm now enjoying putting my knowledge into practise. I also continue to learn from each kid and from regular training sessions.
The group welcomed me in September 2009. I started out as a volunteer and am now the deputy leader. I had earned my NVQ level 2 in childcare prior to working at Abbotsbrook, where I had the opportunity to gather experience in daycare centres and neighbourhood schools. Since I started working at Abbotsbrook, I've finished my NVQ level 3 and been able to advance my education.
I had over 20 years of experience working in the early years sector when I joined. working as a nanny and a daycare provider.
I am certified as a level 4 montessori instructor and enjoy teaching the preschoolers and kids about montessori principles and practises.
With a degree from the University of Central England in Early Childhood Studies, I currently hold that position. I've worked in a variety of childcare environments for many years, including childminding after I had my own two boys. Both of my boys went to Abbotsbrook, and ever since they started school, I've had the need to work there if a position ever becomes available.
